Vincent Pemberton, 93, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 19, 1932 to Robert and Marie Pemberton. He was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kansas and graduate of Turner High School. He married the love of his life, Georgette Pemberton in 1957. He was a wonderful carpenter, crafting anything from a hope chest to a chicken coop. His motto was that if you could build it, why buy it? As an avid gardener, he was always generous with his abundant crops, delivering the surplus vegetables to friends and family. Camping with friends and family was part of his adult life as well. After retirement, he and Georgette, enjoyed traveling with in the states and abroad with family and friends.
He was an active member of his church, a member of the St. John Catholic Club, active member of St. John's Senior's, serving many bereavement dinners for the parish, helping with the annual social among a host of other various volunteer activities. You could always find Vince helping out in one way or the other as he was always very generous with his time and talents. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Georgette, of 67 years and infant son George Robert Pemberton, his parents Robert and Marie Pemberton, brother Robert Pemberton, and sister Geraldine Pemberton. He is survived by his daughter Patrice Dorian and son Michael Pemberton (Susan) and grandchildren T.J. Dorian (Elisa), Kate Cervantes (Martin), Hannah Ludwig (Shawn), Brian Pemberton (Chrissy) and eight great grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, April 10, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 North 4th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.; rosary at 10:00 a.m.; Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. and entombment at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
