Vera Mikic

Vera Mikic, 83 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday March 22nd at 10:30AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 North 4th, Kansas City, Kansas. Burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
Vera was born January 10, 1939 in Srpske Moravice, Croatia to Gerard and Franka (Gudac) Kusturin. She migrated to the United States with her family in 1971 and worked for Youthcraft Coat Company as a seamstress until the companys closure. She was then a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed cooking traditional Croatian dishes for her family. Vera also had a love for growing plants and flowers which was apparent throughout her home. Vera's biggest pride and joy were visits from her granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband, Nevenko, her son Neven (Jennifer) Mikic, daughter Vera (Mike) Miller, granddaughters Allison and Alexandra Mikic and great granddaughter Ellis Vera Mikic Lanham.
