On August 8, Theresa Planac, 99, left this place to join her husband, George Planac, who passed on August 8, 1998. She will be reunited with her parents, Anna and Joseph Slanina, her mother-in-law, Mary Planac and her cat, Fritzie.

She was an amazing woman. She loved her friends, family and flea markets!!

Theresa worked since she was 16 as an insurance secretary and was President of First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Branch 5211. She was very proud of her Slovak heritage and practiced her Catholic faith as a member of St. Peter’s Cathedral.

She had a great sense of humor, loved people, and above all, loved life.

She is leaving behind her daughter, Susan Planac Corbett, son-in-law, Mark Corbett and her nephew, Joseph Slanina, all of Kansas City, Kansas.

A proud “Dotte”, she graduated from Wyandotte High School and enjoyed being a part of the Strawberry Hill Museum.
