Ruth Ann Tayler

Ruth Ann Tayler, 84, of Kansas City, KS passed away June 03, 2024, surrounded by her family.  Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Monday, June 10 followed by a Rosary at 10 a.m. and a Mass at 10:15 a.m.  at St. Patrick’s  Church, 1086 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66113.


Ruth Ann was born November 17th, 1939, the daughter of Eugene and Francis (Klein) Storm, in  Streator, IL. and was raised in Kansas City, KS.  After high school at Bishop Ward, she married her husband Joseph Tayler on September 13, 1958. Ruth Ann and Joseph remained married until her passing, 65 years later. Ruth Ann spent much of her married life as a homemaker. 


She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Billy Storm, Albert Storm, Leo Storm; Sisters, Delores Storm, Judy Kemper; Brother in laws, Larry Rhodes and Thomas Lading. She is survived by her Husband Joseph, Brother James Storm; Sisters, Nancy Lading, Karen Rhodes, Mary Jane Storm and their three children, Son, Mark Tayler and wife Cheryl Tayler; Daughters, Diane Falgren and Deborah Simpson; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Bebermeyer and husband Dustyn Bebermeyer, Karen Simpson, Ashley Tayler and partner Darren Curren, Eric Simpson and partner Brandi Burton, Charles Simpson and wife Elaine Simpson, and Jeffery Tayler and wife Annee Souphanthong; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 


The family would like to thank the Intensive Care Unit at Providence Hospital of Kansas City, Kansas for their warmth and extensive care in providing Ruth Ann the ability to return to her home prior to her death.
