Rosemarie Leverich, 88, died Sunday, January 25, 2015, after attending Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 409 N. 15th St., KCK. Visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Wed., Jan. 28, at the church with the Rosary at 4:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cathedral of St. Peter or to United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Kansas City (in honor of Joe Orth), 3100 Broadway, Ste. #330, KCMO 64111. Rosemarie was born in KCK to Edward and Lillian (Funk) West on Jan. 16, 1927. She graduated from Bishop Ward High School (class of 1944), and attended St. Mary College. On Aug. 28, 1948, she married Vernon Leverich and he preceded her in death in 1977. She retired from the Wyandotte County Probation office after 25 years of service and was a faithful member of the Cathedral of St. Peter and its Altar Society. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, sister, Barbara Burns, step-father, Jack Collins and sons-in-law, Bill George and Tom Heintzelman. She is survived by sister, Harriett Alvey and sister-in-law, Helen Leverich; children, Marybeth and Janet of the home, Susie George, Patty and Jim Orth, Ed and Mary Jane Leverich and Nancy Heintzelman; grandchildren, Andy, Mollie and Katie Hill, Amy Godina (Joe), Jim Orth (Jennifer), Jenny Myers (Ronnie), Matt Leverich (Leslie), Annie Craig (Tyler), Rosie Hodge (Dallas) and Jack Heintzelman; and great grandchildren, Drew, Joe, Ben, Abby, Jonah, Lillie, Maggie, Bennett, Ronnie, Henry, Lucy, Oliver and Cohen, and numerous nieces and nephews of the Burns, Alvey and Leverich families. Rosemarie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and great aunt. May you rest in peace Mom (Nana) We Love You!
