Rose M. Plesa, 87, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Delmar Gardens in Lenexa. Ks. Visitation will be Thursday May 3, 9:30-10:30AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3014 N. 53rd, KCKS with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Kansas City Hospice or Christ the King Catholic Church.
Rose was born March 2, 1931, to Michael and Anna (Calovich) Papa in Kansas City, KS. She worked for Deluxe Check Printing and later with her sister, Helen at Plesas Barbeque at 5047 Welborn Lane in KC,KS. She married Frank on Sept. 5, 1954 and together raised Shirley Ann and were members of Christ the King. Roses hobbies were Embroidery, Quilting, Knitting and Crochet.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Frank T. Plesa; daughter Shirley Ann and brothers: Michael, Tom, Jim, Nicholas, Steve, and Joe Papa; sisters, Catherine Desko and Helen M. Plesa. She is survived by brother, Matthew Papa, KC, MO., and many nieces and nephews.
