Rose Bartkoski

Rose Bartkoski, 102, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024, at The Piper Assisted Living Facility in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born September 4, 1921, to Fred and Anna Novak. 

She was a lifetime Kansas City, Kansas resident.  Rose married the love of her life, Edward Bartkoski, on November 16, 1941; and they were married 64 years at the time of his death on December 9, 2005.  They loved dancing the polka and never missed attending the dances of the Don Lipovac and Brian McCarty Bands.  Rose is survived  by her son, Edward and daughter-in-law, Rosemarie, 2 grandsons, Jeff and Steven (Kristen), great granddaughters, Chase, Grace, Ava, and Emalene Rose.  She also is survived by many loving and devoted nephews and nieces.  She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Ed, her sister, Emma Dragosh, and her brothers, Fred and Julius Novak.  Rose was a very devoted

Catholic and a lifetime member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Altar Society.  Services will take place on Tuesday, May 28th, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with a Visitation beginning at 10:00am - 11:00am, a Rosary at 10:30am, and a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00am. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. A luncheon will follow services at the Holy Family Club.
