On Monday, March 29, 2021, Rochelle Ann Macias, loving daughter, sister, and aunt to
eleven nieces and nephews passed away at the age of 64. Rochelle "Shelly Bone" was born on
September 14, 1956 in Kansas City, Mo to Joyce E. Forqueran and Thomas J. Macias. After
attending Wyandotte High School she was inspired by her younger brother, CPL Thomas A.
Macias, to join the United States Marine Corps. She served on Active Duty and the Reserves for
4 years. She also worked at ConAgra until it closed for more than 10 years.
Rochelle was fearless and bold. She never turned down a challenge and was very
strategic when playing chess and among other things. She was also a DIYer who took on
difficult and unwanted projects around the house and for her nieces and nephews. Her
competitive spirit led her to a successful enlistment in the USMC, which culminated in an
Honorable Discharge. After serving her country, Shelly Bone went on to serve as the backbone
of her family.
Rochelle was preceded in death by her Mother, Joyce Forqueran, her Brother Michael
Macias, great-niece Eva Angelina Bonilla-Senda, and brother-in-law David Heany. She is
survived by her Father Thomas J. Macias, her six Siblings, Thomas A. Macias, Kimbra Senda,
