Nadyne (Bartkoski) Jackson, 85 of Prairie Village passed away at her home on May 6, 2025. She was surrounded by her husband and four daughters. Services will be at St. Ann Catholic Church 7231 Mission Road Prairie Village, KS on May 16, 2025, with a rosary at 8:45 am, visitation from 9-10 am and mass of Christian burial at 10 am.
Nadyne was born February 18, 1940, to Michael and Mary Bartkoski. She attended Holy Family Catholic Grade School, Bishop Ward High School and received an associate’s degree from Donnelly College. She met Roger Jackson at Redemptorist Social Club, and they married on October 6, 1962. They lived most of their lives in Prairie Village, KS where they raised their four daughters and were active members of St. Ann Catholic church. Nadyne was the secretary for the CCD program for much of this time. After retirement she remained active in the parish by serving at St. Mary’s Food Kitchen and helping with funeral luncheons, but Nadyne's favorite job was being a mother and grandmother.
As Nadyne's energy was always focused on others rather than herself, she was always there for her daughters. Whether it was "babysitter" grandma to the rescue, or "chauffeur" grandma, we could count on her to be there. She also enjoyed being a fan at all her grandchildren's special events. Whether it be sports, plays or graduations, she and Roger were sure to be there, even if it meant they had to travel. When they couldn't attend, she would make sure to call to see how things went and to offer her praise.
She was a friend to many, and her acts of kindness knew no bounds. Her family would like to thank her many friends who regularly visited and assisted with transportation to and from her boxing classes she took to help with her Parkinson’s Disease. They would also like to thank those at Meadowbrook Senior Living who went above and beyond in their care and love for her. Oscar, Val, Monica, Skylar, Leanna, Judith, Alejandra, Nicola, Pam, Matt, Ethan, Angie, Kelli and so many more. She loved visiting with you and making sure you felt appreciated (and had chips).
Nadyne is survived by her brothers Michael and Dennis, her husband Roger, daughters Susan (Chris) Heinz, Teresa (Jeff) Harris, Mary (Steve) Schneck and Jane (Chris) Barreca. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Connor, Calli, Katie, Jack, Sam, Carolyn, George, Tommy, Sophie, Will, Annie, Christopher and Nicholas as well has her great grandson, Mason James. Some of her favorite titles were Grandma, NiNi and Nana.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Nadyne’s honor to The Parkinson’s Foundation or St. Ann’s Catholic Church Prairie Village, Ks
