Mildred M. (Jambrosic) Sambol, 91 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Villa St. Francis Catholic Care Center in Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be Saturday, February 27th beginning at 9:00 AM with the Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 409 N. 15th, Kansas City, KS. Burial will conclude the service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, KS. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Villa St. Francis or Catholic Community Hospice.
Millie was born July 11, 1929 to Nicholas and Anna (Delich) Jambrosic in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the youngest of seven and graduated from Washington Rural High School. Millie married her husband, John in 1950. Millie was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents and six siblings. Millie is survived by five children, Christine (Michael) Wilson, Denise (Craig) Duke, John (Dana) Sambol, Liz (Jeff) Jennings and Tony (Michele) Sambol; fourteen grandchildren; Sarah Wilson (Troy Bandy), Rachel (Jeff) Miskec, Leah (Matthew) Schepmann, Rebekah (Micah) Meyerkorth, Colin (Anne-marie) Duke, Ryan (Kristi) Duke, Zachary Sambol, Nick (Sylvia) Jennings, Katie (Jesse) Burke, Kelly (Harley) Cummins, Tylar (Nick) Schweickert, Mitchell (Kellie) Sambol, Morgan (Jeff) Lackner and Nick Sambol; twenty-six great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.
Millie loved taking family trips, not just with a few family members but with all of them, from Houseboats in the Ozarks, Christmas Cruises on the Caribbean, and Cancun, Mexico. She loved the casinos, golf and bowling. Millie also enjoyed being a part of the senior citizen group of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with her many friends.
Family meant everything to Millie and they will miss her dearly.
