Mary Ann Laytham, 87, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016, at Brookdale at Rosehill in Shawnee, Kansas. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM on Friday, August 26th at Holy Family Catholic Church, 274 Orchard St, Kansas City, Kansas. Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation at Skradski Funeral Home 340 N. 6th Kansas City, Kansas, on Thursday, August 25th, from 5 PM to 7 PM with the Rosary prayed at 6:30 PM.
Mary Ann was born January 21, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas to Joseph and Anna (Klepac) Katosh. She was married to Clayton Laytham and was able to be a stay at home mother to her three girls; Mary Lou, Janet and Kathy. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church along with Its Altar Society, Catholic Order of Foresters and graduated from St. Benedicts grade school and Bishop Ward High School.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clayton Laytham (2005) and four brothers. Surviving are daughters, Mary Lou & Jim Salamon, KCK, Janet & Tom McCann, Paola, KS and Kathy & Claude Dyche KCK, her loving sister, Agnes & Gene Franiuk; 7 grand-children; 17 great grand-children.
