Margarito "Porky" Romero, 93, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026. He was born on January 17, 1933 in Kansas City, Kansas. Porky was employed by Swift, now Con Agra, for forty years. He enjoyed watching Azteca baseball, bowling, and golf. He liked the KU Jayhawks and Chiefs. Porky served in both the Army and Marine Corps. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luis Sr. and Lucy O. Romero, and brother Luis Jr. He is survived by his brothers Frank, Henry (Librada), Robert (Carmen), Antonio, and sister Teresa. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 9-10am with Mass to follow. Burial will be after the Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas. Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities and the American Diabetes Association.
