Margaret Ann Stimach, age 90, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 14, 1935, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of the late John Schneider and Margaret Ann (Schneider).
Margaret married the love of her life, Ernest Paul Stimach, on June 4, 1955. Together, they shared many beautiful years of marriage before his passing. She worked for many years at JCPenney, retiring in 1994 and moving to the Lake of the Ozarks in Warsaw to enjoy her retirement.
Faith and family were at the center of Margaret’s life. A devout Catholic, she was an active member of her church community. She was also a proud member of the Red Hatters, ladies auxiliary and alter rosary society. She found joy in spending time with friends, attending garage sales (collecting trinkets along the way), and keeping up with her favorite soap operas. She enjoyed many walks on her beautiful country road in Warsaw. Above all, Margaret’s greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially loved gathering around the table to play cards and dominoes, sharing stories, laughter, and memories with her family.
She is survived by seven of her eight children: Sharon Stimach-Baker, Steve Stimach, Teresa Stimach-McCullough, Donna Nelson, Mary Jorgensen, Michelle Turner, and Michael Stimach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, and her daughter, Connie Elliott. Margaret was the beloved grandmother of Chris Elliott, Tim Elliott (deceased), Michael Stine, Kimberly Kavanaugh, Lauren Baker (deceased), Kathryn Rivera, Jennifer Stimach, Joesph Stimach, Derek McCullough, Darin McCullough, Drew McCullough, Lisa Gerken, Aaron Haflich, Josh Nelson, Nick Nelson, Jonathan Stimach, Mindi Zimmerly, Jamie Jorgensen, Chelsea Gonzalez, Austin Turner, Alexander Stimach, and Meghan Stimach, as well as 40 great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy. And a few great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Skradski Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a woman whose love, faith, and kindness touched all who knew her. Though Margaret has left this world, her legacy of love will continue to live on in her family and in the countless memories she created with those she cherished most.
Tribute for Margaret Ann Stimach
Today we gather to celebrate the life of Margaret Ann Stimach—a woman whose heart and home were always open to her family and friends. Margaret lived 90 beautiful years filled with love, faith, and laughter. She was a devoted wife to Ernest, a loving mother to her eight children, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to so many who adored her.
Family was the center of Margaret’s world. Some of her happiest moments were spent around the table, playing cards and dominoes, sharing stories, and filling the room with laughter. She loved her church, her Red Hatters community, her soap operas, and yes—she never passed up a good garage sale, always finding trinkets that made her smile. But more than the things she loved, it was the way she loved that will be remembered most. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, for bringing people together, and for showing, through her words and actions, how deeply she cared. Though we will miss her presence, her laughter, and her stories, her spirit lives on in the traditions she created and the love she poured into each of us. Her legacy is not just in the years she lived, but in the lives she touched.
