Margaret 'Margie' Supplee

Margaret "Margie" Supplee, 85, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Saturday, May 7th, 2022. The Funeral Mass will be 11 AM Thursday, May 12 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st St., Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:30 AM with Inurnment following Mass at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa KS. The family would appreciate donations in Margies memory to Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, Holy Family Catholic Church in KCK or Sister Servants Of Mary.
Margie was born August 22, 1936 in KCK, to Ivan and Mary (Stimec) Hotujec. She was a member of Holy Family Parish on Strawberry Hill. She graduated from Bishop Ward High School. Margie was a Hairdresser for 67 years, serving hundreds of customers over that time. Her many customers considered her family. She was a mother figure, confidant and even a caregiver for some of them in the last years of their life. Margie loved to head out on the road for her familys yearly 2 week vacations. They traveled across the United States and stopped at many National Parks. She also spent many relaxing days at the family cabin in Lone Jack, MO where they entertained many friends and family. She was her daughter, son, and great grandkids biggest fan. She always supported them through many sports and adventures over the years. Often spending the entire weekend on a ball field.
Margie had a very giving heart. She volunteered with the church in helping to make povitica, strudel, and other foods. She would also collect tickets for Holy Familys yearly Slovenia Festival. She was always willing to help anyone in need. In her last years her greatest joy was spending time with and helping care for her great grandchildren whom she loved so dearly.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Mary Hotujec, Husband Claude, Daughter, Claudia Jo, Sister Loretta Cundiff, and Brother, Edward Hotujec.She is survived by Son, Sean Supplee and wife Katie, Great Grandchildren, Caleb, Gannon and Annie Supplee, Sister, Janice Cindrich and many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and extended Family.
