Manuel Reyes

Manuel R. Reyes, 58, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 pm with visitation beginning at 12:30pm on Wednesday, November 23, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3333 Broadway Ave., Kansas City, MO.

Manuel was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, where he grew up playing a variety of sports including basketball and soccer. He moved to the United States at age 20 and became a naturalized citizen. He started working his way up as a chef in the hotel kitchen. He worked at the downtown Marriott Hotel and the Intercontinental Hotel on the Plaza. Manuel was always ready to lend a helping hand to everyone and also volunteered at KU Hospital. His love of cooking and family was a big part of his life, hosting many holiday dinners and celebrations.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Angela, and six sisters, one brother, 21 nieces and nephews and several great- nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
