Kevin Richard Kenny

August 1, 1957 — January 15, 2017

Kevin Richard Kenny, 59 of Kansas City, Kansas died on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at home with his family by his side. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 PM on Thursday at Cathedral of St. Peter located at 409 North 15th Kansas City, Kansas 66102 with the Father Harry Schneider officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 North 6th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Kevins wishes were to have any donations that are given help in furthering his sons Michaels Education.
Kevin was the oldest of nine children, born August 1, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Richard Kenny and Ann (Kelley) Kenny. He was a 1975 graduate of Bishop Kelley and then 1979 from Tulsa University. Kevin was a member of the Bartlesville Jaycees where he achieved many accolades, he was an award winner with the Toastmasters and Speak-up Organizations. Kevin was a model train enthusiast and an avid gardener. He and his wife Kimberley came to Kansas City fourteen years ago along with their son Michael. Kevin lived for his family and was a hard worker in his parish and community.
Surviving are his wife Kimberley; son Michael Kenny; mother Ann Kenny; daughters Kathleen and Mary Ellen and two grandchildren. Three brothers, James Kenny of Macomb, IL, Richard Kenny of Tulsa, Ok and Thomas of Mersham, England. Four sisters, Julia McCormick, Margaret Barone, Erin Ward and Amy Berkinshaw all of Tulsa Oklahoma. Preceding him are his Dad, Richard Kenny and a sister Mary Elizabeth Kenny.
