Josip 'Joe' Zugecic

It is with Heavy heart "My Joe", beloved husband, and father of JoAnna, was taken by our Heavenly Father to suffer no more from Bulbar ALS on Saturday, January 26th, 2019.
A Visitation will be Wednesday, January 30th from 5-7PM with Rosary at 6:30PM, at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th, KCK. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday January 31, at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th, KCK. Entombment following at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.
Joe was born and raised in Lipnicki Novaki, and Karlovac, Croatia. Lived in Munich, Germany five years prior to coming to Kansas City Kansas in 1976. He leaves behind his wife Carol "Dragi" Belanic-Zugecic, daughter JoAnna and her fiance Michael Beary, and grand-pup Stitch. Uncle Joe and Aunt Ana Dolinar, their daughters Marica, Millie and Nikola Kolich. Lots of Family in Croatia, especially Anita, Andreas and Noa Bencetic.
Joe worked for Best Tool Mfg. Co., Harlen Corp., and retiring from Kansas City Ks Housing Authority after 31+ years of service in the maintenance dept. He truly enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, baking, cooking, grilling and dancing, though his passion was making smoked meats and processing deer. "Was a jack of all trades and master of them too". Evenings were spent playing his accordion, 40+ years, and teaching himself to play the violin . Family wishes to Thank the ALS dept. at K.U.Medical Ctr. and Providence Hospital for their care and compassion, Joelle with Spectrum Home Health and all the RN's with Aseracare Hospice. The K.C.Ks Fire and Police Dept. for their quick responses when needed.. JOZE, YOU ARE DEEPLY MISSED ALREADY ... "POCIVAJ U BOZJEM MIRU"
