March 31, 1925 — August 13, 2017

Josephine "Jo" McConniff, 92, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away August 13, 2017. Jo was born March 31, 1925 in Kansas City, KS to Joseph and Elizabeth Andrekovich. Following graduation from her beloved Bishop Ward High School, she began a 44-year career at Missouri Pacific Railroad at the tender age of 17. While working there, she met her sweetheart, Edward E. McConniff, later marrying in 1953. Calling Mission, KS home, Jo and Ed were original members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Together, their proudest accomplishment was the raising of their four children, Maureen, Joe, Theresa, and Anita. In retirement, she spent her days caring and watching over 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Jo never knew a stranger. She will be remembered as the life of the party, a loyal friend, and the best Mom and Grandma around.
