Josephine B. Jakowatz, 93, of Irvine, CA, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018. Services for Josephine will be on Saturday, January 20, 2018. Visitation begins from 8:00 to 9:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th, Kansas City, KS. Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
Josephine was born September 29, 1924 in Kansas City, Kansas to Thomas and Suzanna (Frankovich) Sachen. She belonged to the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, its St. Cecilia Choir for 30 enjoyable years, a member of its Altar Society and the St. Johns Catholic Club Adult Tamburitzans.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Louis Jakowatz, Jr (2007). Surviving are sons; Dr. James (Margie) Jakowatz, Irvine, CA., Col. Louis (Cathy) Jakowatz Jr. Tucson, AZ. and grandchildren Jenna and Alex Jakowatz both of Irvine, CA.
