Joseph R. Tayler

Joseph Rudolph Tayler, 86, of Kansas City, KS, passed away August 30, 2025, surrounded by his family.Joseph was born on October 12, 1938, the son of Roy Tayler and Helen Pisenec, in Kansas City, Kansas. After graduating from Bishop Ward High School, he married his wife, Ruth Ann Tayler, on September 13, 1958. Joseph and Ruth Ann remained married until her passing, 65 years later. Joseph worked and retired from Missouri Gas and Energy. Post retirement, Joseph was an avid carpenter and spent most of his time doing crafts. Joseph He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Tayler, and Sister, Helen Peterson. He is survived by his Brother Donald Burnette; three children, Son, Mark Tayler and wife Cheryl Tayler; Daughters, Diane Falgren and Deborah Simpson; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Bebermeyer and husband Dustyn Bebermeyer, Karen Simpson, Ashley Tayler and partner Darren Curren, Eric Simpson and partner Brandi Burton, Charles Simpson and wife Elaine Simpson, and Jeffery Tayler and wife Annee Souphanthong; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank the nurses of Riverbend Crossing of Kansas City, Kansas, for their warmth and extensive care in providing Joseph the ability to return home prior to his death.There will be a celebration of life at Cider Hill Family Orchard on October 12th, 2025, from 5-8 p.m.
