Joseph 'Joe' Nally

Joseph 'Joe' James Nally passed away on August 18, 2023. A graveside service for Joe will be held on Friday, September 1st, 2023 at 11:00AM at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, located at 1150 N 38th St, Kansas City, KS 66101.

Joe was born to John Francis Nally, and Julia Mai Nally on March 25th, 1937 in Kansas City, Kansas. A proud veteran, Joe began his military career as a volunteer paratrooper, and was incredibly proud to have  served in the 101st Airborne Division. He leaves behind a family that extended beyond just blood, one that shares his memories, and even a meal at Pegah's, or a celebratory win by Notre Dame, KU basketball, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He will be remembered as a man with a great sense of humor, and a man of laughter.

Joseph lived a long life, and is preceded in death by both his parents, John Francis Nally (1902-1980) and Julia Mai (Spillane) Nally (1904-1976), his sister Mary Catherine 'Mary Kay' Nally (1929-2014), brother John 'Bud' Joseph Nally (1931-2014), Bernard 'Red' Francis Nally (1933-2020), and Raymond Michael Nally (1941-2022), and sister-in-law Ellen Jean Nally (1933-2016). Joe is survived by his sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth 'Beth' Nally and his nieces and nephews Liza, Scott, and Christina, Denise, Bernard, Kevin, Theresa, Julie, and Kathleen 'Kate', and his best friend/care giver that was by his side till the end, Senda Daniels-Stroble.
