John Podrebarac

John "Ivan" Podrebarac died peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Born in Croatia, John moved with his family to Kansas City, Kansas in 1971. A true artisan butcher and machinist by trade, John enjoyed socializing and tending to his elaborate garden and animals. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Veronika and father Franje;

Survived by wife Dragica; children, Marijan (Dana) and Joey (Lindsay); grandchildren, Josh (Kelsey), Enzo and Riha; sister Lubica.

Services will be held for John on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Church at 414 Barnett Ave., Kansas City, Kansas 66101.

Visitation will be between 9:00am and 9:30am, with a rosary prayer at 9:30am. Mass to follow visitation & rosary beginning at 10:00am.

Immediately following the mass, a procession will lead to the burial service at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery located at Parallel Pkwy &, N 126th St, Kansas City, Kansas 66109.
