Janice Labesky, 69, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, at Holy Family Church, 274 Orchard Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66101. The Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Mass of Catholic Burial at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to help provide for Janice's beloved grandchildren, honoring the deep love and devotion she had for them throughout her life. Janice was born on August 19, 1956, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Frank and Frances (Zager) Labesky. She graduated from F.L. Schlagle High School in 1975 and dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Unified Government of Wyandotte County. Janice found her greatest joy in her family. She cherished holidays, celebrations, and the simple moments spent together. A member of Holy Family Church, her faith was an important part of her life. One of her greatest blessings was fulfilling her dream of traveling to Hawaii with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances Labesky, and her son-in-law, Luis Rubio Rivera. She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Melinda Rubio and Amber Purinton; her cherished grandchildren, Carlos Rubio Rascon (30), Cesar Omar Rubio Rascon (28), Ximena Rubio (15), Bailey Goin (11), Frank Goin (10), Ariel Goin (6), and Charlotte Goin (5); her siblings, George Labesky (Mary), David Labesky, and Debbie Dawson (Mike); as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.Janice will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her quiet strength, her generous heart, and the kindness she shared with everyone who knew her. Her love and legacy will continue to live on in the lives of those she leaves behind.
