Henry Segura

Henry Segura, 97 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away peacefully Thursday, December 23, 2021. Services for Henry will be December 30, 2021 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 1001 Southwest BLVD, Kansas City, Kansas beginning with a Rosary at 9:00AM with Visitation following and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
Henry was born February 21, 1924 to Guadalupe and Delfina (Montes) Segura in Kansas City, Kansas. He served in the Army in WWII, the Pacific Theatre. After returning home he married Rachel (Ramos) and was blessed to have a daughter Maria Helena. Henry worked at Fiberglass, Kenworth Dart and finished working in the Bulk Mail Division for the Postal Service. He was a member of the American Legion 213 and the DAV for many years. He loved his military commitment and even was chosen for the Honor Flight in 2008. Henry lost his first wife in 1989 and remarried in 2000 to Bonnie (Dennis) who passed in 2017. He was the one of 10 siblings and made sure that family came first at all times. He will be dearly missed especially by his grandchildren.
He is survived by is daughter Maria Helena "Mary" Bartlett, three grandchildren; Patrick B. Bartlett, Stacey A. Bartlett and Laura N. Starkel and six great grandchildren. Also surviving is the youngest brother Albert and two sisters Teresa (Raymond) Reyes and Mary Lou (Louis)Reyes and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him were is parents, both wives and brothers, David, Antonio, Fred, Raymond, Joseph and sister Socorro.
