George F. Fracul, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 6th at his home. Visitation will be at 9:00 am, Rosary at 10:00 am, followed by the funeral mass at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary cemetery.
George was born July 2nd, 1933, the son of George and Anna (Vancus) Fracul in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a 1951 Bishop Ward High School graduate. George worked at a creamery then joined the Army in 1953 – 1955 during the Korean war. George met Mary Ellen, and they got married in 1958. He then worked at General Motors. He loved being a dad. He enjoyed time with his family, volunteered at school as sports director for several years and volunteered at the church. George had the gift of gab. He was an avid bowler and gardener. George and Mary Ellen helped with the bereavement luncheons and seniors meetings at church where they were lifelong members. George was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa. He is survived by his children; Susan (Jim) Fuhrmann, Paul Fracul, and grandsons Derek (Brittany) Fuhrmann, Devin (Lauren) Fuhrmann, and his sister Annie Calcara. Preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen, his parents and brothers Frank and Jim. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
