Obituary
George Feden of Kansas City, Missouri passed away October 23rd, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Manor nursing home in Liberty, Mo. Having reached the age of 91. Services for George will be Wednesday, October 27th beginning with a Visitation from 10:30AM to Noon, with a Funeral Service a following at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th, Kansas City, Kansas. Burial will follow at 1:30 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
George was born June 6, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of William and Mary Feden. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1948. Served in the Navy Reserves from 1947-1955 also serving in the Korean War between 1951-1953 USS LST 880. He married Lucille Elnora Fossett of Mt. Vernon, Mo. November 6, 1954. They have been married 66 years, November 6th would have been 67 years. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad 42 years before retiring. He was the Commander of the VFW post 7026 1972-1973, Commander of American Legion #188, Member of the 40 and 8 and Optimist club, Member of Polish America club. George spent numerous hours of volunteer service to veterans at the VA in Leavenworth, Ks. George loved working in his garden, hunting, fishing, bowling, reading and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving family include his wife Lucille of Kansas City, Missouri. Two Daughters Jodie Mufich (Frank) of McKinney, Texas, Sheryl Kovac (Bob) of Kansas City, Missouri. Grandchildren; Frank Mufich III (Cassie), Stevie Shirley (Shay), Sara Riley (Geoff), Nikki Williams (Steve Slagley), Breanna Decker (Dustin Snyder) Great Grandchildren; Rosemary Francis Mufich, Ellie Grace Shirley, Alice Lucille Riley, Madelaina Eloise Snyder, Sophia Sue Snyder, Codey Adams (Katie Akes) and Great-Great grandchild Aerie Joy Adams.
Two children, George Michael Feden, Sandra Sue Feden Decker and one great grandchild Bodenn Christopher Ray Snyder preceded him in death.
