OBITUARY FOR: DAVID J. ASHER
David J. Asher, 65 of Kansas City, KS passed away on February 9, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 12, 4:30 to 5:30 PM with prayer service following at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th KCKS. The family suggests donations to Crossroads Hospice of Kansas, L.L.C, 11150 Thompson Ave, Lenexa, KS 66219.
David was born January 19, 1950 in Marshfield Mo. Farrell Pigg and Mother Lois Jean (Cress) Pigg raised him in Kansas City, KS. David was an accomplished acoustic guitarist and enjoyed sharing his love of music with his family and playing with his band.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert. Survived by his wife, Mary Ellen (Cornejo) Asher and daughters Bernadette Asher and Stacy Cowan, 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Clarence and Doug Asher, Eddie Pigg and sisters, Jeanette McCowan and Sue Yeagle.
