Catherine Mary Wilkins passed away peacefully on April 10, 2018 in Greenwich, Connecticut. She was 92.Catherine was born October 27, 1925 on Strawberry Hill in Kansas City, Kansas to Frances (Horvat) and Michael Dumovich. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School and Bishop Ward High School. Catherine met Leonard Wilkins (Danny) while the two worked at Ford Motor Company, and they married in 1961. Catherine held positions as a bookkeeper for various companies, and joined Gene L. Dent Accounting in 1971 upon Dannys death, staying for 17 years, and later retiring as a staff accountant in 1991 from the firms merged company, Cochran, Head, Rycken & Co. During her retirement, Catherine travelled, including trips to Britain, France, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy. In 2001, she moved to Purchase, New York with her only daughters family where she would live for the next twelve years. Known affectionately as "Oma" to her two treasured grandsons, Catherine served as babysitter, cook, math tutor, and trusted confidant to the boys in their home together. She was a member of St. Paul Parish in Greenwich. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, her sisters, Ann Martinac, Mary Hoytal, Margaret Standish, Rose Koska, Helen Dalton, Bernice Bukovac, and her brothers, Michael Dumovich and George Dumovich. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Moessner and son-in-law, Juergen Moessner, grandsons Richard and Maximilian, all of Purchase, NY, and loving sister, Loretta D. Riss, of Kansas City, Missouri, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Greenwich Woods Health Care Center for their wonderful care of Catherine for several years.Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Kansas City, Kansas. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed directly by burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
