Branko Cap

Branko Cap, 61 of Kansas City, MO passed away May 22, 2022, with his wife and daughter by his side. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 27, beginning at 10:00am at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 11101 Greenwood St., Lenexa KS 66215. Burial following at Highland Park Cemetery Kansas City, KS.

Branko was born July 26, 1960 to Bozidar and Ivanka (Leontic) Cap in Drnis, Croatia. He is survived by his wife Monika (Guska) Cap; daughter Anita Cap; brother, Ugljesa Cap (whom he has faithfully cared for since his oath to his mother on her deathbed). In Croatia, he is survived by his sister, Nedjelka Premerl; daughter, Bozenza Cap, and grandson, Teo Labor.

Branko was preceded in death by his parents, Bozidar and Ivanka Cap; an infant brother, Zeljko and a sister Anita, whom he named his own daughter after. He was an avid lover of animals, indulging his daughters many rescue cats, dogs, hamsters, and guinea pigs throughout the years, as well as hosting his own large canary collection. Having survived war, famine, and injustice, he was still able to see the good in people and all of Gods creations.

We will miss him greatly but take comfort knowing his soul has found a new hereafter to explore. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 11001 Greenwood St Lenexa, Kansas.
