Bonnie Hayes

September 1, 1944 — February 2, 2022

Bonnie I. Hayes, 77, of Olathe, Kansas passed away peacefully at Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park, Kansas with her youngest, son, present on February 2, 2022, at 9:45 pm. Bonnie was born on September 1, 1944, in Waupaca, Wisconsin to William and Donna (Tonneson) Boone. Soon after her birth they moved to San Francisco, California to be close to her father who at the time was in the Navy. Later moving to Concord, California where she attended Clayton Valley High School. In 1961 while taking a Senior Life Saving Course (to be a life guard) she met her future husband, Donald (Don) Hayes, who was in the Navy and taking the same course to be a life guard at the military base pool. They fell in love at first sight. They were married 59 years prior to her passing in 2022. They were the light in each others life. She could brighten your day just walking into a room with her smile and laugh.
Bonnie was preceded in her death by her parents; William A. Boone and Donna (Tonneson) Boone.
She is survived by her husband, Donald A. Hayes, three children; Linda Hayes-Pacheco (Henry), Cathy Hayes (Katie), Donald W. Hayes. Brother; William Boone, sister; Cheryl Mathews; brother; Robert Boone. Seven grandchildren: Hallsie Pacheco, Brennen Pacheco, Mathew Pacheco, Isabella OConnor, Makenna Hayes, Sophia Hayes, Addison Minteer-Hayes plus many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, there will be no services offered.
