Bernice B. Kovich

Bernice B. Kovich, 90, passed away March 14, 2015. Visitation will be Wed, March 18, from 5-7 PM at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 North 6th St. KCK, with rosary being said at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thur. March 19, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary/St. Anthony Catholic Church in KCK. Burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Frank Kovich Sr. in 2009 and her son, Frank Kovich Jr. in 2011. She is survived by her son, Dr. Charles M. Kovich, daughter and son-in-law Sylvia & David Fraley, granddaughter and her husband Rebecca and Terron Murray, great grandson Brekken, sister, Virginia Vogel and nephew and his wife Charlie and Julie Vogel.
She was a loving mother and wife, taking joy in her whole family. Keeping Croatian tradition, she made sumptuous family holiday meals. An expert seamstress, she knitted sweaters and Afghans as gifts to others. Devotedly, she stood by the bedside of her bedridden eldest son for eight years. At the same time she also cared for her ill husband. Her selflessness was a model of Gods love for us. She prayed unceasingly and was devoted to St. Jude. She was an inspiration in her struggle with illnesses. Her children love her for making them the best they could be.
Thank you Mom, for being so wonderful to us and so compassionate to all.
Everyone was made better by your generous spirit. Be happy and rest in the perpetual peace your love merits.
