Ana Piskuric, 89, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away May 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20, 2025 with rosary being said at 8 AM and visitation from 830 to 1030 followed by Mass of Christian burial at St. John the Baptist Church, 708 North 4th Street Kansas City KS 66101. Christian burial will follow Mass at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Ana was born January 11, 1936 to Janko and Marija in Gorica, Croatia. She married Frank in 1958 and shared 44 years of marriage. She immigrated to Kansas City in 1975 with her family. She was a proud member of St. John the Baptist Church, the Altar Society and the Croatian American Social Club. She worked for Interconnect Devices Inc prior to her retirement. She loved making homemade noodles, baking poviticas and strudels . There was always a strudel in the oven whenever someone visited. Her hobbies included needlepoint, knitting hundreds of slippers for family and friends that will forever be cherished.
Her passion was tending to her garden that could feed a neighborhood. She grew a variety of vegetables and shared with her family and neighbors. Her specialty was growing Croatian peppers, tomatoes and potatoes. She enjoyed planting flowers, especially her roses. She loved watching soap operas, reality shows, game shows and cheering on the Chiefs every Sunday. She loved talking on the phone daily with her family and had an amazing memory about dates, birthdays and life events. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family. Ana is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; infant sons, Josip and Zlatko and infant daughter, Danica; parents, Janko and Marija; grandson, Brion Joseph, 3 infant brothers, sister, Ljubica; brother, Stjepan; nephew, Branimir; brother in laws, Nikola, Petar, Albin, and sister in law, Sofija(Stjepan). Ana is survived by her son Ivan (Kimberly); daughters Zlatica (Patrick) and Marica (Tommy); brother, Juro (Barbara); granddaughter Amanda (Corey); great-granddaughter, Summer and great-grandson, Carter; niece Diana (Patrick); nephews Ivan (Ivanćica) and Janko (Ankica) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Kansas Croatia and Slovenia. Ana left a lasting impression to those who had the pleasure of knowing her, and she will be greatly missed. Her kind and loving spirit will forever be engraved in our hearts.
