Ana Maria 'Ann' Gallup

Ana Maria "Ann" Gallup, 71 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at KPC Promise Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be Friday, February 18, beginning with Praying of the Rosary at 5:00 PM and The Wake following till 7:30 PM at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th, Kansas City, Kansas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 19th, at 10:00 AM, at the Cathedral of St. Peter, 409 N. 15th, Kansas City, Kansas. Burial will follow immediately at Mt. Calvary Cemetery also in Kansas City, Kansas.
Ann was born on January 10, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri to Manuel Ortiz Ruiz and Mary (Garcia) Ruiz. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Grade School and Bishop Lillis High School. On July 13, 1974 she married George Gallup. Together they shared children. She loved her grandchildren Cody and Matthew, they were partners in crime. She also enjoyed crocheting for her great-grandchild, Cecilia.
She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Peters Church for 45 years, where she was a member of the Altar Society. She was also a member of the Sister Servants of Mary Guild. She worked in the medical field for 30+ years before retiring. In her retirement, she enjoyed doing crafts. She is best known for her hand embroidered tea towels, scrubbies and rosaries.
To know her, was to love her.
