Teresa Mae Nelson, 60 of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center after a short struggle with the pneumonia and flu.
Teresa was born July 4, 1957 in Birmingham, Alabama to Walter and Mary (Coon) Kennon. Her first job was at the age of 13, as a car hop on roller skates at "Mugs Up". Worked as a paralegal for The Alder and Nelson Law Office. She and husband, Bryan created Showtime tree service in 1994.
Teresa was a loyal Chiefs and Royals fan. She loved helping people and always went out of her way make sure others were happy. She had recently traveled to St. Louis and Florida where she enjoyed looking for sea shells. Teresa was very outgoing and free spirited. She loved butterfly's and collecting pretty things. Her sister Loraine was her best friend and she spent as much time as she could with her.
She is survived by her husband, Bryan Nelson, daughter Melissa (Bob) Long, son Damon (Amanda) Nelson, four grandchildren; Daxon, Ellie Mae Long, Robert Michael Siesener (Mike) and Emily Rose Nelson, siblings; Lorain (Susan) Singleton and Curtis (Deb) Kennon. She was proceeded in death by her parents.Visitation will be at Skradski Funeral Home, Saturday 27th from 2:00-4:00PM.
