Mike Kralj, 94, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Brookdale at Rosehill.
The Funeral Mass will be 9:00 AM Sat., Nov. 28 at St. John the Baptist Church, on Strawberry Hill with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Friday, Nov. 27 at the Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th St., KC,KS with the Rosary at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Johns Church.
Mike was born March 13, 1921 in Mrzljaki, Croatia to George and Ana (Panjada) Kralj and immigrated to the USA in 1969. He worked for the Darby Corp., Sambols Packing Co. and the Inter-Continental Machine Shop before retiring in 1987. Mike was an avid gardener and loved to share his vegetables with neighbors and friends and was quite proud to be the earliest crop producer in the neighborhood.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two infant daughters; son-in-law: Nick Fabina, grandson: Joe Fabina; and daughter: Anick Kralj. He is survived by his beloved wife of 75 years, Barbara(Suljak) Kralj, two daughters: Mary Fabina and Barbara (Slavko) Galic; three grandchildren: Kathy (Matt) Parr, Steven (Vijaya) Galic and Allan Galic(Angel Esteban) and three great grandchildren: Caton Galic, Paden and Dolton Parr; one sister: Mary Kuhlman and cousin, Ivan Kralj.
