Marija Car, 80 of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away March 30, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10AM Tuesday, April 5 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th, KCKS. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, KCKS. Visitation Monday, April 4, from 6:00-7:00 PM, with Rosary at 6:30PM at Skradski Funeral Home, 340 North 6th Street, KCKS.
Marija was born in Karlovac, Croatia, May 12, 1935, to Toma & Jele (Kocanjer) Volaric. She and her husband Dragutin Car immigrated to the US in 1976 where they became members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Marija worked as a seamstress and was a very loving wife to Dragutin.
Preceding her were her parents and just recently her brother Stefan. She is survived by her husband; brothers Ivan and Miha Volaric; brother in law and family Frank and Nada Carr; nephews in law Steve & Sanja & their son Jordan and Tommy. Condolences may be made at www.skradskifh-kc.com.
